Chevron is working diligently with its wholesale marketers in an effort to ensure both its Chevron and Texaco branded service stations are open and operating in order to serve the people in communities impacted by hurricane Gustav. In cooperation with our independently owned marketers, we are currently assessing our network of service stations which are shutdown and making significant efforts to resume operations as quickly as possible. To help speed up the process, Chevron has emergency power generators on-hand for deployment in the affected areas. We are especially focusing our initial efforts on the re-opening and replenishment of fuel for strategic stations located along re-entry highways to meet the needs of returning residents. All of our fuel terminals which serve the Gustav-impacted areas have fuel and are in operation. As we continue our efforts to restore fuel services in the Gustav-impacted areas, we continue to watch and prepare for the upcoming storms Hanna and Ike to assure that our wholesale marketers and direct supplied retail locations have the fuel that they need to serve the motoring public in areas which might be potentially impacted by these upcoming storms."
