Chevron remains concerned about severe gasoline supply disruptions in the wake of Hurricane Ike as many of the refineries in the Gulf of Mexico area remain shut down or operating at reduced rates. With great effort, we are maintaining supply, however strained, at our fuel supply terminals in the region. All of our fuel supply terminals are in operation and we are doing all that we can to keep Chevron and Texaco branded retail stations supplied with fuel for customers. Additional Chevron transport trucks have arrived into the affected region and are refueling Chevron and Texaco retail stations. We continue to deploy generators to repower retail stations that were shutdown due to Hurricane Ike. Working with our marketers, we have made significant progress in returning to operation the retail stations that were shutdown due to Hurricanes Gustav and Ike. Over 60% of the affected stations in Texas are back in operation. Only one of the affected stations in Louisiana remains shutdown. Chevron continues to exercise restraint in pricing our products at the wholesale level. We have urged our wholesale marketers to exercise pricing restraint at their individual retail stations to respect the severe challenges faced by people in the areas affected by the hurricanes. On this website we have posted the operational status of our Chevron and Texaco branded stations which are located in the affected areas of Texas.
