Gulf of Mexico Contractors: Award Photos

On December 4th 2007, the Chevron Gulf of Mexico Business Unit held it's annual contractor engagement and awards meeting. We were pleased by the support we received, over 750 of our business partners in the gulf coast region attended. Our theme this year was leadership, with a strong focus on how leaders support the processes that are in place today, specifically Behavioral Based Safety and Job Safety Analyses. During this event our guest speaker was Lewis Senior, director for Equilibria. The Equilibria E-Colours personality profiling technique is being integrated into our operations and blends in well with communication, leadership and risk management.

Throughout the day several awards were presented to our business partners. Each award was based on their performance for the last four quarters. The awards were in several categories:

Outstanding Contractor
Outstanding Crew
Stop Work
Outstanding Rig Award

Each award was targeted at key performance indicators that will help all of us achieve our mutual goal of world class performance. These awards and the meeting format provides a framework to partner and network, enabling a win/win approach to the core of our business…. protecting people and the environment
