June 2-4, 2004 - Fairmont Hotel - New Orleans
The Gulf of Mexico Business Units are hosting the 2004
ChevronTexaco Behavior-Based Safety Conference in New Orleans, June 2nd through
the 4th. The conference, open to all ChevronTexaco employees and contractors,
will feature motivational keynote addresses on June 2nd and 3rd, a poster
session on June 2nd, and approximately 25 break-out sessions (spread across all
three days) covering a myriad of topics relative to BBS from antecedents to
consequences and the fundamentals in between.

Registration
Our conference registrar is Dori Toler. Dori works in our
Gulf of Mexico Shelf Business Unit’s Eastern Shelf Profit Center – Mobile /
Viosca Knoll / Pascagoula Offshore Area. Dori is ready to send you a
registration packet as necessary, process your registration, send you
confirmation notices, and provide other assistance necessary for your successful
registration.
Registration fees include continental breakfast all three days
and lunch on June 2nd and 3rd. If you would like to register
as a participant for the conference, please submit a
General Registration
(13KB). Please include any special dietary needs with your registration.
Registration fees are as follows:
All 3 days
$300 Early by May 1, 2004
$400 May 2 - 20, 2004
$500 After May 21, 2004.
Single Day
$150 Wednesday, June 2, 2004 or
$150 Thursday, June 3, 2004

Poster Session
A Poster Session will be held from Noon to 5:00 PM on June
2nd as a means to whet your appetite about Behavior-Based Safety
processes in general and about specific elements of
many ChevronTexaco and contractors’ BBS processes.
You will be able to establish personal network contacts and talk to folks who
share your passion, joy and pain with BBS processes.
If you would like to host a Poster Session, please submit a
Poster Session
Registration (14KB). There are no fees to host a Poster Session.

Break-Out Sessions
Numerous concurrent break-out sessions hosted by peers and
professionals in HES and Operations from across ChevronTexaco and many
contractors will provide insights and learnings about how some of the different
Behavior-Based Safety processes
are working. This will be your opportunity to get involved and ask questions
from the people that make BBS work in their operations.
There will be 6 to 8 sessions on June 2nd, 12 to
16 sessions on June 3rd, and 6 to 8 sessions on June 4th.
A schedule of these sessions will be published and distributed in May 2004 and
posted throughout the conference areas for you to leverage your personal and
group learning action plans.

Fairmont Hotel
To reserve your room at the Fairmont Hotel - Call
800-441-1414. Be sure to ask for the ChevronTexaco
BBS Conference room rate. Single Room Rate:
$108.00 single or double. This rate does not include
local and state taxes (13%) plus $2 Hospitality Occupancy Tax.
Reservations MUST be made by April 30th to
receive the Conference room rate! The Fairmont is
holding a block of 300 rooms at this rate – on a first come, first served basis!
After this, you are on your own for room reservations.

Transportation
in New Orleans
Since shuttles and taxis are readily available and most
areas of interest are within walking distance of the hotel, there is not a
pressing need to have a rental car. Check Ground Transportation for convenient
transportation options and prices on Louis Armstrong New Orleans International
Airport's web site at

Airport Shuttles to the CBD (Fairmont) are $26 round-trip
per person. You can
register with the shuttle service on-line at:
http://www.airportshuttleneworleans.com or at
ticket booths located on the lower level in the baggage claim area.
Taxis to the CBD (Fairmont) are $28
one-way per person. Check with the valet on the lower level, outside the
baggage claim area for price confirmation and pick-up
locations.
If you drive or get a rental car,
parking is available via valet at the Fairmont ($25 per day) or at several
public lots near the Fairmont. Public lots may or may not be
covered parking. You should confirm the daily rate before you leave your car
for several days.
