Warner Williams, Vice President of Chevron North America Exploration and Production, is pleased to announce that the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) Business Unit will be hosting our annual Contractor Health Environmental & Safety Management (CHESM) Forum (formerly Contractor Engagement Meeting) to be held on December 9, 2008 at The New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA. This one-day meeting is intended to deeper your understanding of Chevron’s CHESM objectives and to also recognize some of our Contractors for their outstanding job performance while working on GOM properties.
The purpose of the CHESM process is to establish clear accountabilities, ensure active engagement of contractors, and provide a consistent CHESM program to eliminate Health, Environment and Safety (HES) incidents and injuries among contractors. The CHESM group is evolving rapidly and is committed to meeting these standards by engaging our contractors and sharing the CHESM vision with them. Our CHESM team has a genuine passion and is dedicated to the safety of all contractors that work on GOM properties.
All of our business partners are invited to attend by having a maximum of three representatives at this event – one executive level manager, one safety manager, and one front line supervisor. We are excited about the events’ format as it provides a framework to partner and network, enabling a win/win approach to the core of our business…. protecting people and the environment.
Warner Williams, Vice President of Chevron North America Exploration and Production, will all be on hand to speak with you along with Steve Seiler, Gulf of Mexico HES General Manager, Clay Neff, General Manager, Operations, Mike Birchfield, General Manager, Asset Development, and Lane Blanchard, CHESM Team Lead. There will also be the chance to meet a number of us from the field who act as a resource to support you in our quest to become and maintain Incident Free.
