SafeGulf Variance Process and Form
Objective
Establish a set of consistent, minimum health, safety and environmental (HSE) awareness level training /orientation requirements for contractors working in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM).

Exceptions
The following should be utilized when personnel without SafeGulf training (not meeting the applicable criteria above) travel offshore;
- Individual(s) are identified utilizing the host companies SSE identifier
- Individual(s) must receive pre-approval from the site supervisor utilizing the variance form attached prior to travel.
- Individual(s) will keep the Variance Form with them as they travel, this will be reviewed at the offshore embarkation point (typically a guard shack or dispatcher)
- Individual(s) must identify themselves to the helicopter pilot or boat captain prior to embarkation
