CHESM Forum
On March 25, the inaugural Contractor Health, Environment & Safety Management (CHESM) Forum was held in Houston, Texas. Approximately 500 personnel representing more than 200 contract service companies attended the one-day event at the Woodlands Marriott Waterway. The purpose for the event was to engage contractors in Chevron’s safety culture and keep them apprised of the company’s processes and expectations around safety.
The agenda was a full one, with several Chevron speakers, presentations by contract companies, and a special lunch presentation. Awards were presented throughout the day to contract companies, rig crews and individuals for their outstanding service and commitment to safe practices in 2007. Other activities included information sharing and networking.
MCA works with more than 1,000 contract companies annually. This Forum, which helps satisfy Chevron’s requirements for contractor safety, will become an annual event. Learn more about the event...
